Gesenhof is located directly on the slope of Mount Helm – step out of the front door and into winter fun. And in summer? Hiking trails, alpine pastures, bike tours, and playgrounds for children turn your holiday into a relaxing break for everyone.

Playgrounds at 2,000 m, via ferratas, lakes, bike trails – and the mysterious “Olperl,” which you might just meet along the way. In both summer and winter, Sesto offers plenty of fun for young and old alike.

Everything you need for your holiday can be found nearby:

  • Grocery shop

  • Villgrater butcher’s

  • Happacher bakery

The nearest larger shopping centre is in San Candido (approx. 10 km).
 

Arrival & Mobility

  • Bus stop (lines 440, 446, N402) just 5 minutes’ walk away

  • Train station: San Candido

We recommend arriving by car – but during your holiday you can happily leave it parked!
Distances are short, buses are convenient, and for skiing you don’t need a car – direct access starts right at the Gesenhof!
 

Hike & Bike

Countless hiking and biking trails start right from the Gesenhof or nearby.
Highlights include: the majestic Three Peaks, the Val Fiscalina, rustic alpine huts and summit tours for every level of fitness. Nature, views and movement – all right outside your door.
 

Tip: Our grandpa knows them all – from easy family walks to hidden favourites. Just ask – he’ll be happy to share his best tips.
 

Winter Activities

  • 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski resort – direct access from the farm! (ski room with boot dryer available)

  • Waldheim family ski lift just 1.3 km away

  • Cross-country skiing: perfectly prepared trails in the area

  • Ice rink: in the village
     

Tip: Host Judith is a qualified ski instructor and will gladly show you her favourite slopes and share useful tips!
 

Swimming

  • Outdoor pool in the village – perfect for summer days

  • Acquafun adventure pool in San Candido – great for the whole family
     

Climbing & Sports

  • Sports grounds, tennis, mini-golf and more – right on site
    Fun fact: This is where Jannik Sinner learned to play tennis!
